Nothing is easy, but who wants nothing?

Time and chance are on their own schedule. The best you can do is prepare for the opportunities that arise, good and bad. Preparation, or sharpening your axe isn’t as fun as other things you could do.  It all comes down to focus.  What is it that you really want? You have to know or you won’t pursue it.  It is really easy to get distracted today.  More people are addicted to their tiny screens (phones) than were the idiot box of the Baby boomer generation.  There was always something but this one is taking people out earlier than before.  We have access to some much information, images, and eye candy that we do nothing but watch it.

But here I am.  We just got through the 4th of July holiday.  My wife was in the hospital during this time again. She was getting treated for kidney infections and COVID. Infections now do something to her mind.  She came home last night and seems to be missing a few steps. My family is fatigued. I feel like I am missing a few steps too.

At the same time, I am getting closer to my first big performance date. I think I worked backwards, with image, marketing, equipment but now I am working on the actually performance. Youtube has been a big help with some wisdom on performing live. There is actually some good information hidden in the millions of videos. Now I am in the “woodshed” trying to learn the songs to the point of being comfortable.
